My Wish for You

If you’re ready to finally get unstuck and make real change happen, let’s work together in the 4-week Career Strategy Intensive.

I’m sitting on an airplane as I write this – roughly 4 hours into a combined total of 30ish hours enroute to visit my Dad in New Zealand.

And I’ve been thinking about you.

Really, I’ve been thinking about all of us.

About how out of control life feels right now. About how fraught and draining the pace of work is. About the micro and macro stressors we’re bombarded with each day.

But I’ve also been thinking about our potential.

About what it’s like to know ourselves and what we want for our lives.

About how incredibly empowering it feels to turn bravely towards our dreams, and say YES.

YES to putting yourself first.

YES to knowing what you want.

YES to setting new boundaries, using your voice, and taking a stand.

YES to saying your potential is worth it. Your gifts are worth it. You are worth it.

YES to loving your work, and loving your life.

And yet, so many of us feel stuck right now. We know that something in our work or our lives is misaligned –

that it doesn’t feel right, it frustrates us, or makes us feel bitter or angry or small.

We know we’re craving something more or better or different.

But knowing this isn’t enough. Knowing this is actually inconvenient. In fact, it’s disruptive.

It disrupts our family systems and structures.

It disrupts our ongoing commitments and obligations.

It disrupts peoples’ expectations of us.

It disrupts our identities.

Don’t diminish this reality! It’s real and honest and understandable if listening to these whispers of misalignment feels DANGEROUS. Like there’s a lot you could lose.

And maybe that’s true…

But also? I’d argue you’ll gain even more.

Try This Out

So here’s where we’re going to start:

I know that deep down, somewhere in your gut or your heart or your thoughts, you feel the friction of living out of alignment.

You might be leading a project you don’t believe in, pretending with your team, or just feeling really, really bored at work.

You might be living in a city that grates on your nerves, or feeling uninspired and directionless.

You might just know that you’re meant for more.

Like wearing an itchy sweater, I know there’s a clue scratching at you, saying “Pay attention to me.”

I’ve felt it myself (many, many times), and it’s a feeling that every new coaching client shares with me (yes, every new client).

So today, your only assignment is to acknowledge this feeling. Whether you call it misalignment or dissatisfaction or burnout, my invitation to you is to pause and notice it.

Don’t worry about fixing it just yet. Just notice. Tune in. Be honest with yourself about what’s not working.

And if you’d like, email me and let me know what comes up. I promise – your answer is safe with me.

What’s Next

My wish for you – for all of us – is a life of authentic alignment.

A life where you feel like you’re working and living on purpose. Your purpose.

It’s not too late. It’s never too late. And it’s always worth it.

You’re always worth it.

And you can start right now.

Onward,

PS: Alice came to coaching with me feeling burned out, disillusioned and exhausted. The Career Strategy Intensive was the kickstart she needed to put herself on a completely new path:

“Ashley provided me tools and space to reflect on what I truly needed out of a career. The process allowed me to see that my work was consuming my mind, stealing joy and impacting my health. I now know that I was not living my truth. She gave me the courage to leave my executive position, start a business and reclaim my life. The light is returning to my eyes and I am, for the first time in years, sincerely excited about the future.”
